With over 25 years in the music industry, Greg Schutte has performed live on stage with Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead), Ryan Bingham, Zakir Hussain, Giovanni Hidalgo, Wayne Horvitz, David Schools (Widespread Panic), Empire Brass Quintet, Bakiti Kumalo ( Paul Simon), Chastity Brown, Bernard Allison, Anthony Cox, The Horn Heads (Prince), Todd Clouser’s A Love Electric, Sue Foley, Lorie Line, Mary Cutrufello, and many more. He has toured the world headlining shows and opening for acts such as B.B. King’s (2002 US “Summer Blues Fest”), Cyndi Lauper’s( 2006 “Body Acoustic World Tour”), Ruf Records’ 2004 European “Blues Caravan” Tour and more. In 2010, Greg toured Iraq and Kuwait performing for the US/Coalition Forces with singer/ songwriter Keri Noble. As a composer, he was commissioned by Ananya Dance Theatre (2009-2016) with works premiered in Trinidad, Zimbabwe, Chicago, New York and Minneapolis. Greg is currently touring nationally and internationally with Academy Award winning singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham. When not touring he produces, drums, engineers, and mixes for a multitude of artists at the renowned Bathtub Shrine Recording Studio in Minneapolis which he owns and operates.
