Christine Ridgway, a place where you can discover her work, skills, and professional experience. One of the defining characteristics of the art that comes out of Skidar Studios is visually engaging characters with expressive faces and strong ties to both anatomy and feature exaggeration to build a strong character design. Christine works in a large variety of mediums from pencil, pen, marker and paint to the digital realm with Adobe Photoshop™, Toonboom Storyboard Pro™, Adobe Illustrator™, and Adobe Indesign™. I graduated the University of Idaho (2016) with a BFA with an emphasis on sequential storytelling and digital illustration.
Currently I work as a freelance illustrator and I am also a painting instructor on the side. When I’m not creating visual art I write Middle Grade/ Young Adult novels featuring my Skytown characters. My next step is to become part of a studio work environment specializing in pre-production animation in the story art field and arts department. I would also like to combine my love of art and wildlife to help bring people and animals closer together with informative illustrations. When I’m not creating I enjoy working with (and learning all about) animals and adventuring outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
