When CATALINA RODRIGUEZ burst onto the screen in the sizzling FOX MyNetwork primetime series WATCH OVER ME – all bets were off. For 32 episodes, this ravenous beauty captivated audiences with her razor-sharp portrayal of the ruthless Sasha Hansu – a young woman who managed to both torment and tempt everyone in her path. Following the series, Catalina sought roles that would allow her to stretch her acting muscles – as a caregiver to an autistic child in the indie feature APRIL’S FOOL to guest starring on the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series DEXTER. Catalina completed work on the wildly funny and provocative Lionsgate feature film COUGARS, INC. opposite an all-star cast including Jim Belushi, Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), Kathryn Morris (Cold Case), Maeve Quinlan (90210), and Denise Richards. Catalina’s comedic talents shine as “Dominica”, a woman who favors younger men and a penchant for “punishment”. Additionally, she returned to a dramatic role as the tragic lead “Isabel” in the stark indie feature PIMP BULLIES opposite Golden Globe Award-winning veteran actor Ving Rhames, Steven Bower (Scarface) and Hemky Madera (Weeds).
Catalina was also chosen to play the role of Mexican American, Paulina Martinez in the HULU series “East Los High” where she plays an aunt and a role model who helps her family grow through dedication, commitment and perseverance. You can also catch her on Season’s 1 and 2 of the original Starz Network series Magic City in her recurring role of Theresa, where she plays alongside actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Catalina’s most recent work is Skipstone Pictures, Saved By Grace. Directed and produced by Johnny Remo. Catalina plays opposite Joey Lawerece, where she plays a genuine and caring woman who through her personal experiences gives Rick (Joey Lawrence) a reason to re-examine his approach to life. Raised in Miami, Florida, Catalina began performing at the tender age of 5. After attending the prestigious Performing and Visual Arts Center (now the New World School of the Arts), Catalina graduated from the University of Miami where she double majored in Film/TV and Theater. She moved to Los Angeles soon after, where she continues to find success.
