Chelsea Belle DaveyChelsea Belle Davey was born and raised in Big Sur; a pristine stretch of isolated coastline on the central coast of California. As a result of the rich artistic community she began painting and exploring other mediums of art at an early age. While painting has always been her first passion, Chelsea persued a career as an Advertising Account Executive for the Monterey County Weekly newspaper before inevitably leaving that position to dedicate her life to painting. Chelsea’s acrylic landscapes of her hometown have been called “windows to Big Sur”. The vibrant colors and often recognizable landmarksChelsea Belle Davey create a strong sense of place. A place that has inspired Chelsea to communicate her love for this coastline , the community and the way of life through her art. Chelsea has assisted Susan Collins (Suzka) with the mural painting that is the backdrop of the main stage at the Monterey Jazz Festival for the last ten years. She is currently painting from her home studio as well as at Steven Whyte’s Studio Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
