The Twisters

Back in the mid 70’s, Danny Campos and Claude Bianchi started their first band together. They played for a few years until they started a new band called The Wanderers. That is when Rick started to work for them as their roadie (1981-1986). The band was later renamed Danny and the Twisters. Danny and the Twisters continued to play a full schedule up until about 2001, when they decided to disband. In 2009, the band decided to get back together to play a reunion gig at Santo’s in West Chicago. The crowd was so big and responsive that the band came back again in 2010 and did another show. Danny Campos passed away two months after at the age of 55. Danny, we miss you buddy!
In 2011, after Claude and Rick had finished playing in Pearl Road, the band talked about a tribute to Danny with Rick as their lead singer. The tribute to Danny was played at Hawthorne’s Backyard in West Chicago, on August 20, 2011. After having received so many requests from fans, The Twisters have officially reunited and a continue to play great oldies music at a variety of venues. This is definitely a “party band” and people do not just sit around with them onstage. The dance floor is always full and the band is very interactive with the audience by keeping them involved in the show.
