Eclectic, funky and pure irie, Skunk Funk sprung up from the streets of Vallejo, California to bring every crowd they woo an inspiringly animated experience. A spellbinding fusion of Funk Punk/Reggae Ska, the festivities begin once word of mouth brings Skunk Funk to town.
Bobby provides his sing-rap style vocals with poetic lyricism and also enriches the groove with his melodically remote yet heavy basslines. Cuban-B drives hard with his philosophical lyrics, soulful freestyle rapping and accentual stage presence. Nick provides the heartbeat of the band as the tastefully energetic and downright funky drummer. With the foundation of the melodies and harmonies comes the aesthetically pleasing guitar styling of Max Gee, who not only graces the set with complex yet smooth progressions and soloing, but also provides his vocals and lyrics to the mix.
Presently, the four manifest a sound so distinctive and high energy; they are a hot commodity anywhere they go. What remains to be seen is where they get their influences, which can range anywhere from Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Primus to Mac Dre, Fishbone and Bob Marley.
