I feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love for a living, but the road that brought me to where I am now was not a smooth ride. If it weren’t for being laid off from my longtime position as a manager at an iconic local media company, I would have never been bold enough to go full-time with my passion.
In December of 2017, I set up a studio space in my garage and have been able to develop my craft from simple colored pencil drawings to upcycled sports equipment to truly one-of-a-kind works of art that have caught the attention of collectors around the world. And as much as I have evolved since my beginning sketchbook days, I still feel like I’ve only just begun. My hands simply cannot keep up with the wheels spinning in my head as I try to pour out every idea I conceptualize so other people can enjoy something new and interesting.
For those of you who have been following along my journey- I appreciate your support more than you know. For anyone just now discovering what I do- I genuinely hope you see something you like. Something that sparks good memories, awakens your soul, or simply makes you smile. For those of you betting against me- I see you and I’m grateful because you fuel me to be better than I was yesterday.
