My name is Jasmine Smidt. I am an independent hair and makeup artist based in Omaha Ne. I started my business 3 years ago when I was 19 years old. As a student, I strived to work for myself. I decided to take the plunge and rent a chair fresh out of cosmetology school. My passion for hair and makeup has pushed me to strive for the very best for my clients and myself. I use all professional products including Kenra, Guytang Mydentity, Pravanna, Pulp Riot, Wella, and Redken to name a few.
Being an independent artist, I have the freedom to customize the lines I am able to work with. I also use professional makeup such as Makeup Forever, Smashbox, Huda Beauty, Stila, Anastasia, Becca, Bobbi Brown, Fenty and many more. All of my makeup is completely photo safe and perfect for bridal, prom or photoshoots. When I started my business, I was nervous to go into something with few clients. My first 6 months went wonderful. I worked hard to show my work to all of you and create beautiful hair and makeup.
As time has passed, I have built an amazing clientele. I truly wouldn’t be where I am
without all of you. Thank you for helping me succeed and create my work on you. You are all my canvas. Today, I specialize in blonde, bridal and balayage. I also love high fashion tones. I have also introduced tape in or beaded weft extensions into my services. In the fall, I will be rolling out Beauty By Jasmine classes. I cannot wait to help my clients learn to create the perfect look. My journey started as a young, confused artist.
I wanted to be a painter before I pursued cosmetology. Thankfully, I decided to paint faces and hair instead of portraits. Everything falls into place especially when you least expect it. My story is just about a girl who loves hair and makeup. I love making all of you beautiful.
