Isaiah Tyrell Bell

Isaiah Tyrell Bell currently teaches middle school band in Atlanta Public Schools. As Director of Bands, he oversees all aspect of the band program. He is also co-director of the Carver High School Marching Sounds of Soul. He holds a Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting from Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia and Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. As a professional trumpet player, he has performed in many musical mediums from symphony orchestra to salsa bands. He is currently active in the Atlanta area as a clinician, adjudicator of pre-festivals and solo and ensemble, and as a freelance trumpet player. In addition to keeping a busy schedule as a Band Director and Trumpeter, Isaiah also maintains a private studio of all ages and playing abilities. His primary trumpet teachers were Dr. Gordon Vernick of Georgia State University and Yvonne Toll Principal Trumpet of the Atlanta Opera. Isaiah has also taken lessons with Kevin Lyonns and Melvin Jones. Isaiah currently holds professional membership with the International Trumpet Guild, National Association for Music Education, and the National Band Association.
