Gypsy Sticks was formed in 2007 when band members Jerry Bruno and Rich Murff met at a jam session at Touchet’s Paint and Body Shop in Carencro, Louisiana. At the time, “Rich”, who had just recently begun playing in a few local hole-in-the-walls, was looking to start a band to play gigs at some of the local bars around the Acadiana area. After the two hit it off at the jam session, they began practicing every week and eventually landed a few gigs. With 2 discs recorded of original music and with various members coming and going, the band finally clicked with the current lineup in May of 2013, which includes Rich on vocals, rhythm and keys, Bryan on Lead Guitar, Benny on Bass Guitar, and Ryan on Drums. The new lineup has created a unique blend of rock, pop, disco and country music spanning the past few decades. Covering artists such has Pink Floyd, Seven Mary Three, Stone Temple Pilots, Maurice Day and the Time, Wilson Pickett, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, AC/DC, Godsmack, Living Colour, and many more, the Gypsy Sticks have quickly become a hit with the area venues and is building a dedicated fan base that regularly travels hours just to catch a show!
