I’m a singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas. I began songwriting right around the time I got my first guitar for my 15th birthday. I continued writing throughout high school and into college. While at The University of North Texas, I studied business, but my passion has always been music. In 2013 I released my first studio recorded EP of original music. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. I’ve been playing at gigs regularly around DFW since 2012. These days, you can often find me playing at local blues jams with my dad (and manager) Jay. I know that I seem like just another 20-something singer-songwriter aspiring to be the next Taylor Swift, and while this may be true, I am so much more than that. I am a cat owner, a watercolor painting aficionado, and an avid amateur hiker. However, first and foremost, I am a follower of Christ and my deep love for music is nothing compared to my love for God. ?
I am also a firm believer in the power that music can have on someone’s life. Music can allow us to feel or express things that can be hard to talk about in “real life.” Music can also influence how we view the world around us and even ourselves. Above all, I think that one of the coolest things about music, is that it can teach us things in ways that just words alone can’t. It can teach us about ourselves, but it can also give us a glimpse into the mind and heart of someone else.
