The Elite Academy of Dance specializes in providing an exciting, interesting and educational experience in ballet, tap and jazz/hip hop for students ranging from age 3 to teenagers. Elite Academy of Dance offers the finest quality training while also building self esteem in itsstudents in a fun and friendly environment. All classes are taught by the director, Pati Lara, whose foremost goal is to teach her students the importance of dedication, team work, respectability, and responsibility; all of which the Elite Academy of Dance has come to represent.
Pati Lara (Director)
Pati Lara is the director, head instructor and choreographer of the Elite Academy of Dance. Before establishing The Elite Academy of Dance, Pati Lara was a faculty member and dancer for Laine Johns. She trained in ballet, tap and jazz under Laine Johns from the age of four. For the next 25 years, Miss
Lara concentrated her training in ballet, tap, jazz, choreography, and dance theory. In 1993, she received her member certification from the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing. Pati is also a member of The National Dance Education Organization and The National Dance Association & AAHPERD. She has also been featured in the El Paso Times 52 Under 40. She’s also part of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Pati has trained with such renowned dancers as Rhonda Miller, Keith Clifton, Bob Rizzo, Bruce Lea, Patsy Swayze, and Darryl Retter. Pati teaches all classes. She believes that each and every student needs her utmost and personal attention. Pati makes sure she gets to know each and every student. Only this way can she best serve each student.
