Katie O’Grady is a heralded actor, award winning director & producer, beloved acting teacher, and 5th generation Oregonian with Irish roots. Katie O’Grady is one of the Northwest’s most sought after local talents. Her star turn performance as Meris in the NY Times Critics’ Pick film Rid Of Me earned O’Grady a place on the Hollywood Reporter’s prestigious Oscar Watch List and a nomination alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Sara Jessica Parker for the The Women’s Film Critics Circle Best Comedic Actress award.
Katie continued to entertain audiences through eight seasons on Portlandia (IFC), and
guest spots on network series like Leverage (TNT), and Grimm (NBC). She has a particular passion for independent films and her work has been seen in films earning places at the Tribecca Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film estival, LA Film Festival, and the NY Film Festival, among others. She also keeps up a steady stream of commercial, modeling and voice over work.
Alcove Productions is a full service production company founded by Katie O’Grady in 
2008. Alcove’s first feature film, Rid of Me, premiered in NY at the Tribecca Film Festival and received the NY Times Critics Pick of the week, going on to sell to Showtime, Amazon, Netflix, and become a cult classic. The meticulously crafted film set the tone for which Katie’s company has since become known, and Katie has become a sought after director and producer on the West Coast.
Alcove’s short films regularly garner coveted spots on the film festival circuit, and its commercials have won awards at international competitions. The team also produces music videos, and PSAs. Alcove is a start to finish production company that specializes in bringing creative thought to life!
