Stephanie Scarcella
Stephanie Scarcella (Mezzo-Soprano) is a native of Casper, Wyoming. A regional finalist and district competitor for the 2011 Metropolitan Opera National Council Awards, Scarcella was recently heard as the mezzo soloist with the Amherst Societatis-Oratorio in Bach’s Easter Cantata, BWV 4 and Vivaldi’s Gloria. This June, Stephanie will be performing for the second time, the role of Arsamene in Handel’s Serse with Arcadia Players in North Hampton, Massachusetts. Stephanie’s operatic experience includes the roles of Pitti Sing in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado, Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Arsamene 
in Handel’s Serse, Dorothée in Massenet’s Cendrillon, and Sally in Samuel Barber’s A Hand of Bridge. In summer of 2010 Stephanie made her European debut singing Zita in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Maestra della novizie in Suor Angelica as a part of the summer program Flagstaff in Fidenza. In May 2010 she was a semi-finalist for the Classical Singer Magazine National University Competition. Scarcella has been featured in master classes with Sheri Greenawald and Martin Katz. Stephanie received her Master of Music in Opera at The Boston Conservatory this past May, and is continuing to study privately with Rebecca Folsom. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Perf.
