Ronald Lunn

Ronald LunnRonald Lunn’s interest of the arts began as he would quietly sit, watch and learn painting from his uncle, Alan Ferris JR. (marine painter) while he worked in his Cape Cod studio. That exposure to the fine arts encouraged Ronald to draw and paint from the early age of seven. The chosen mediums used to create his works are oils, acrylics, pen and ink, and pencil.
With over 50 successful exhibits under his belt, he is considered a seasoned professional artist. He focuses on the emotional nature of art, aiming to depict the beauty of life through a combination of his subject matter, texture and use of color. Ronald reflects on his life experiences of living at the sea and in the country. His images of the ocean, dilapidated barns, vivid mountains, fields and streams continue to be the primary subject of his artwork.
His artwork can be found in public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad, and has been seen in numerous exhibitions worldwide. Ronald’s works have won many awards, including Best of Show, first and second place finishes. His artwork has a huge influence over him and his view of life. Ronald definitely look at the world a little differently than most people. He is constantly studying clouds, ocean waves, a swaying tree or even the subtle birth of a new leaf. He really do takes the time to smell the roses. Each new painting is a challenge and a growing experience. And he is just so fortunate to have the ability to create and share his art with so many people. Ronald Lunn’s studio is at his home in Benson, North Carolina.
