Melinda M. Golden
Hello! My name is Melinda and I live near Atlanta, GA with my husband, Chris, and my English Bull Terrier named Cypress. Like most artists, I’ve always had a talent for creating art. I only took one art class in high school. Playing viola was a big part of my life and the art classes happened to be at the same time as orchestra. But I enjoyed drawing in my sketchbook when I had free time. It was not until college that I got serious about art. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Fine Art and a concentration in painting and drawing in 2011. After school I decided to combine my love for animals and art and start making
pet portraits. I really enjoy being a pet portrait artist. I believe that pets are members of the family. And because they unfortunately do not live as long as us, a fine art portrait serves as a wonderful reminder of the love and joy they bring to our lives. In addition to painting and drawing, I enjoy being able to give back to the community and help pet rescues.
