Jess MeuseJessica Meuse (also known as “Jess”) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist from Slapout, Alabama. A natural performer at an early age, she has been wowing audiences publicly since the age of 10. In addition to her other talents, Jessica also enjoys playing several instruments; she is classically trained on violin and self-taught on both guitar and piano. When Jessica was 20, she won the state-wide artist showcase, Stars of Alabama. In 2013, she took first place in a local singer/songwriter competition that took place over an 8 week period at Workplay Theater in Birmingham, Alabama. Since then, she continues to perform at venues as a support act for both national and local acts across the southeast.

Jessica was a contestant on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice in 2012, where she made it to the blind auditions. In 2013, Jessica won a spot to perform a set on the Vans Warped Tour in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2013-2014, Jessica Meuse was selected by American Idol’s judges, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick, Jr., to compete on the national television series where she ended up finishing in the Top 4. She also became the first person in the history of Idol to perform an original song, “Blue-Eyed Lie,” during the finals. Jessica went on to perform with the Idols LIVE Tour, visiting 40+ cities in the United States and Canada. Following American Idol, Jessica has written and released two independent singles, “Done” and “Rio Grande.” She is currently continuing to expand her fanbase and tour the country, while working on her forthcoming debut full-length album.
