Megan Moriarty
Raised and educated in Minnesota, Megan Moriarty has an A.S. in Cinema Production from Minneapolis Community and Technical College, a B.F.A. in Sculpture and a M.A. from MN State University Mankato. She is currently an MFA Candidate in Spatial Art at San Jose State University. Fascinated with ancient and contemporary interpretations of spirituality, she investigates how the sacred and the secular have been woven together throughout human history. Mixing traditional mediums with new media, her work delves into the history of Alchemy and modern science’s microscopic photography, looking for the role art has played in defining interpretations of the universe.
