Eugenia Uhl
Eugenia Uhl, photographer, is a native New Orleanian. Upon completing an advertising degree at Louisiana State University, she went on to Portfolio Center, a commercial art school in Atlanta. She began her career as a freelance photographer in 1989 in New Orleans where she has established a career as one of the areas top commercial photographers specializing in food, products and architectural interiors. Recent cookbook credits include Commander’s Kitchen, Galatoire’s, Palace CafĂ©/Flavors of New Orleans, New Orleans Home Cooking and the Bywater Cookbook. Eugenia’s photographs have been featured in Departures, Southern Accents, Metropolitan Homes, House Beautiful, Essence, Travel & Leisure, Flowers, Vegetarian Times, Art + Design, New Orleans Magazine and Everyday with Rachel Ray. Her clients include Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group, International House Hotel, Volunteer’s of America, Sacred Heart Academy, Galatoire’s, The Roosevelt Hotel, Fabulous Pewterware, Adler’s, Zydeco Bars and Time Will Tell Watches. As a fine art photographer, she has focused on silver objects still life series, and portraits frequently exhibiting in Greater New Orleans galleries. Her most recent work combines photography and calligraphy arts in which Ms. Uhl is also accomplished.
