Brennen Reeves
Brennen ReevesBrennen was born on Hilton Head Island, SC. He attended the College of Charleston, where he received his BA in Theatre Performance-Acting and Directing in 2014. In college, Brennen co-founded a sketch comedy group called “Tiny Shorts Comedy!” while he also dabbled in stand-up comedy and improv. During his senior year at the College, Brennen started to create a one-man show based on his life and struggles having grown up with the fatal lung disease: cystic fibrosis, as well as the survival of a double lung transplant that he received when he was 19-years-old. Created with David Lee Nelson, his professor at the time, the two workshopped the idea for over a year, eventually turning the project into “BREATHE. A TRUE STORY.” Brennen continues to perform on stage regionally and around the country as he tours his show. Brennen is also a writer and is currently pursuing his MFA in Creative Writing from Sewanee School of Letters in Tennessee. He is an advocate for CF and organ transplantation and can often be found speaking at various events. Brennen lives in Charleston, SC and is now back at the College of Charleston as a professor of Theatre Performance.
