Tom Martin
Tom Martin contracted three songs and four masters to Fervor Records for use in broadcast and or film: “Borrowed Time” (two masters), “Sometimes Woman”, and “Highway Stranger”. Fervor Records released a Tom Martin E.P. on July 14, 2017. His song, “Borrowed Time” will be appearing in the upcoming feature film “Above Suspicion”, and recently aired on Viceland Channel’s, “Nirvanna, The Band, The Show” on Episode 104, “The Blindside”.
In 2016, Taxi, a California A & R company, included Tom and his instrumental “Fawns Lullaby” in their Top Ten Picks of featured artists. Also, his acoustic guitar video was featured on Taxi social media and in their newsletter.
Several of Tom’s songs have been submitted to publishers and music supervisors for possible media placements including: “Everyone’s Comin’ Around”, “Sometimes Woman”, “Steel City”, “Red Rock Home”, “Just A Baby”, and instrumentals: “Fawns Lullaby”, “Strollin’ Southside” and “Feelin’ Lucky”.
Several of his other original songs have had regional and national exposure including a song in a film documentary, performance broadcasts of a featured song “Never Go Back” on CBS “As The World Turns”, and his song “Tucson Girl” appeared on Cincinnati’s WEBN rock radio station regional artists album project #2.
Tom has opened concerts as a solo act for Roger McGuinn, Stephen Stills, John Stewart, Dickey Betts, Preston Reed, Greg Brown, and Kenny Rankin. On separate occasions, his live performances were broadcast by WOFX, a Cincinnati, Ohio classic rock radio station. Other live performances have been recorded and re-broadcast by WNKU, a Northern Kentucky regional FM radio station featuring acoustic artists.
Tom honed his style primarily performing solo, however he has performed in various duos and folk rock bands. His forte is his rich, full sound, achieved largely by his right hand rhythm and finger style technique and his impeccable rhythmic timing.
Tom is currently working on his music in Ohio, Phoenix, Los Angeles and South Carolina, writing and recording songs and instrumentals.
He has released three original song album projects: “Friends & Legends”, “Blind Ambition” and “Pieces of Fate”, a live recording album: “Tom Martin Live at Mt. Adams Pavilion”, and currently has an instrumental album in the works. You can catch Tom performing regularly as a soloist on guitar and vocals as well as with other accomplished musicians.
