Staci Garner- Spivak
Staci Garner- Spivak’s sixth year with River Art Studio in Bellevue. She offers oil painting classes for adults, art classes for children, and painting parties for children and adults. Staci has been involved with art her entire life. Her mother J.M. Garner was a portrait artist who began teaching her at a very young age. Her art education continued through her
formative years, studying art and design at auburn university, then receiving her BFA from MTSU. Staci never thought about teaching until her mother decided to retire from teaching at Nashville State Technical Institute, and she took over. She taught oil painting and drawing classes there for 11 years, and during this time began painting murals for businesses, show homes and private homeowners. After she left Tech, she continued teaching privately and in different locations until the opening of River Art Studio 6 years ago, and she loves it! Although Staci enjoys several mediums, oil is her passion. Following in her mother’s footsteps isn’t easy, but she is forging her own style of portraiture and plein air painting.
