Michael Sarich
As an artist choosing to work with the medium of photography, Michael Sarich always trying to push the natural limits of his medium, whether it be film or digital. He is traditional in his method working to get the image correct in the camera without building one in the computer. This makes every finished image a personal success and through this traditional function each image has a life and soul to its own, one that he is excited to introduce and show with his viewers and collectors. Starting with his first film camera in 1992 it ignited a fire and passion that has burned strong ever since. Shortly after high school, he followed his passion and persued a career documenting Skiing and Snowboarding. Through those years he traveled the world while honing his craft. Michael learned how to see the unseen light and capture the mood and beauty of our universe.
Now Michael uses his camera as a painter would use their brush, focusing more on the mood and power of a pre-visualized scene before the camera even comes out of the bag. Through a process of continued visits to his selected locations he is able to study the light and weather patterns through the changing seasons and truly connects with his surroundings. This process combined with patience and great light is a path he looks forward to following for many years to come.
