Matt Waters
Matt Waters is a blues rock artist from Cincinnati, OH. He grew up in a big family, the youngest of Phil and Mary Carole’s four children and found his passion for music at age nine. He was taken under the wing of a few local artists in Cincinnati as well as in Hilton Head, SC where he began his professional career at fourteen. Waters was inspired by a mix of classic rock, blues, funk, and pop music that he grew up with. In his music, one can hear influences from Bill Withers to Paul McCartney to Chance the Rapper. Matt’s goal for every show is to create an energy for the crowd to go home with.
“My biggest love in performing is the ability to give everything I have, and take so much back. When I can dig into a song and see a listener’s foot start to tap I feel our connection and from there we can get to know each other without saying a word.”
Waters has been working tirelessly on his debut album throughout 2017 and will be releasing these new songs throughout the next year starting with his new single “Wild” which is available online now.
Water’s team includes Producer/Engineer Greg Yock, Manager Phil Schneider, and an incredible band including Jamarco Thomas on keys, Johnny Disco on bass, and Mike Taylor on the drums.
“I’ve been fortunate to surround myself with hardworking, inspiring, and genuinely kind people. This group makes my job not only easy, but one that I couldn’t even dreamed of having when I was starting on this journey. Without them, my friends, and family none of this would be possible.”
