Lydia J. Musco
Lydia J. Musco is a sculptor working with abstract forms, influenced by processes in nature and constructed spaces. Lydia J. Musco received a BA in Visual Art from Bennington College in 2001. She traveled to Korea, Norway, and China for residencies and held sculpture interhsips in Minnesota, New York, N.Y., and Connecticut. She was a Staff Artist at the Vermont Studio Center for two years.
Lydia recevied an MFA in Sculpture from Boston University in 2007. Upon graduation she was awarded a Career Entry grant from Boston University, and Outstanding Achievement in Sculpture Award from the International Sculpture Center, an MFA Grant from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, and a residency at the Edward Albee Foundation. In 2008 she received a Pollock-Krasner grant. She was the Visiting Professor of Art at Davidson College in North Carolina for two years. In 2013 she was chosen to be the first sculptor awarded the Clark Hulings Fund award. She lives and works in rural Massachusetts.
