La Di Da Beauty is a partnership of long time friends Laura Garcia and Kyra Meinzer. It is a true story of passion and friendship that guides these beauty industry experts to be the most sought after team in Nevada.
Laura and Kyra went to middle school together having no idea their “life long friendship” would lead them to become business partners. After High School Laura attended UNR obtaining a dual degree in Communications and French, with a minor in Spanish. While in College Laura worked with Mac Cosmetics, Laura “Retail was not my passion but I loved the artistry of makeup and the impact it could have on a woman’s confidence.
Plus I had a lot of fun!” Laura then went into the business world continuing her drive to learn. Mac called Laura back to be part of the National Impact team where she was able to represent the company in major events and trade shows. After some soul searching she took the leap back into the make up world.
Kyra was creating her mark in Reno as a hair stylist and go to beauty expert for brides in the area. With a passion for education, Kyra has traveled everywhere from New York to LA and has trained with some of the industry’s leading professionals including Oribe, Kerastase Paris, Bumble and Bumble New York, Pureology and L’Oreal Professional. Kyra had built her clientele sharing her passion for hair and her love for people, and was always booked with weddings calling upon Laura to help with make up. It took one wedding and Laura was hooked, she saw the happiness and the inspiration they brought to their clients special day and that was it. She was there with her best friends and she just knew that they had something special. For 6 years this dynamic duo has been one of the most requested on site beauty teams for not just local weddings but for photo shoots for national campaigns, celebrity make up, and destination wedding and celebration platforms for clients from all over the US. They work with incredible photographers and wedding/event planners to be able to carry the concept of what they envision to a reality.
When asked, “With such a great clientele list why change the business from on-location beauty team to a salon?” Laura answers simply “We have become a part of our clients life from the Engagement, Wedding first child we realized we wanted to be able to meet their everyday beauty needs as well as the life events.”
Kyra and Laura have assembled the best in the business to be under one roof but still have the on -location teams that made La Di Da Beauty so sought after. Laura says that, they just finished up a wedding in Scottsdale and have their team available for travel. The salon gives them a base to be able to consult and provide additional beauty needs for every occasion to all of their clients. They have increased their teams to include Arizona and Southern California, and are excited to be able to have a home base.
