Dolores Rodriguez

Dolores is a Sacramento, California artist with a degree in Art from Sacramento City College. Exploring the concept of abstract drives her creativity. There is a delicate dance between realism and abstraction. Her goal is not to replicate real life subjects, but rather to interpret them artistically. She intuitively paints with acrylic paints on canvas as well as watercolor on paper. Some of her purely abstract paintings might not have recognizable images, but they always convey mood, movement, and meditation. The colors she chooses are based on the mood she wants to convey whether it’s playful or dark and swampy or dynamically contrasting. Painting is an emotional expression for her.
