A lifelong lover of music, Debbie began singing her heart out as soon as she could talk, reveling in the warm tone of vocalists like Karen Carpenter and their ability to convey genuine feeling. She continued to fine-tune her craft through church groups and other ensembles as she evolved as an artist and performer.
Her passion for country music and its realness and openness was ignited the moment she heard Shania Twain. After earning a degree in music from North Central University in Minneapolis, Debbie focused on raising a family, satisfying her passion for singing through local contests and karaoke. With an empty nest, Debbie took control of her lifelong dream and launched her musical career in 2015. Her husband Mitch, prolific writer of 14 books in the financial services industry, tried his hand at songwriting and wrote the lyrics to “Faithful” to celebrate their milestone anniversary. After rave reviews, she decided to record it in her hometown of Rochester alongside producer and songwriter Tim Hildebrandt. This successful project then led to the successful collaboration between Mitch and Tim to write five songs, which combined became Debbie’s sparkling debut album, All Over Again. She celebrated its release in front of a packed house at Rochester Civic Theatre in January 2017.
Recently signed by renowned country label SSM Nashville, Debbie is once again bringing her authentic message and genuine personality to country radio with her brand-new release, “Faithful”––already charting at #48 on The New Music Weekly charts! In February of 2018, Debbie’s debut single, “Lucky in Love” went all the way to #8! After being released in the U.K., “Lucky in Love” reached #17 on the Hotdisc Top 40 country chart.
A seasoned performer with a relatable, authentic message for all ages, Debbie has performed in Nashville, at corporate and specialty events across the country, and for audiences of as many as 15,000. Dedicated to giving back to her local community, Debbie mentors young artists and performs for and participates in fundraisers for organizations like the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys & Girls Club. Debbie is overjoyed to have her “encore career” in full swing, and she will be promoting her new single, “Faithful” as well as working on new music for an upcoming CD with SSM Nashville.
