Chris Lay

Chris Lay is a drummer, songwriter, and bandleader from Portland, Oregon. Equipped with a Jazz Studies degree and a taste for a range of styles, he has filled the versatile drum role for such artists as world/folk composer, Tim Snider, and the NW funk/R&B outfit, the Ken DeRouchie Band. Chris has also performed with pop/folk trio, The Junebugs, as well as The Newport Symphony, where he backed Broadway leads, Elena Shaddow and John Cudia, and folk legend, Judy Collins. Chris writes and performs primarily for his own group, 2:AM Pacific and has also written for neo-soul artist, Michalangela, and soul/jazz songstress, Saeeda Wright.
