The James Zeller Trio
The James Zeller Trio , is now located in Northern, CA, following the leader’s move back to the west coast. While the concept of the group is the same, the trio has some new members. The group is lead by James Zeller who supplies heartfelt vocals and tasteful trombone, the renowned John Wood on Piano and the backbone of Lee Phillips on the double bass.
The Trio previously had five highly successful years in NYC with Guitarist Pat Brennan and Bassist Lorenzo Sandi.
The hear of the group’s fantastic repertoire is a unique and entertaining mix of swinging Jazz and
timeless American Songbook classics from the 1920’s-50’s, New Orleans and Trad Jazz, even some classic country and blues. They perform classic R & B and other upbeat dance music. Their music is the perfect addition for weddings, cocktail parties, business parties and all types of events. Each set they perform is filled with songs guests will know and love!
They take pride in their work as musicians and entertainers. Beyond their ability onstage, they are classy, professional, experienced in the music business, punctual, well dressed and easy to work with.
Their trio’s instrumentation is trombone/vocals, guitar/piano, and upright bass. They also perform in larger ensembles by adding clarinet, cornet/trumpet and/or drums. For classical music at ceremonies, violin may be added.
