Matt Vinson
Matt Vinson grew up in Southeast Alabama the son of a huge country music fan. His dad was known to sing old Hank Williams and Bobby Bare songs all the time. At age 5 Matt got his first guitar, cowboy hat, and boots for Christmas and his passion for music was born. In the early ‘90s Garth Brooks was an emerging artist and his energy and music instantly solidified Matt’s desire to play music.
By age 10 Matt had started teaching himself guitar and by age 15 was playing shows at local churches and coffee houses and writing his own music. With musical influences ranging from Garth to Hank Sr to BlackBerry Smoke and Shinedown Matt defines his style as “Redneck Rock-n-Roll”. Matt has built and fronted multiple bands and has performed acoustic shows throughout the southeast over the past 16 years. After taking a break from music in 2009 to focus on family he is ready to get back in the musical driver’s seat and push it to the limits.
