Lizzy Mailho

Originally from the Bay Area, Mailho is currently living in Sacramento, California, working as an artist and instructing painting classes. Graduating from Chico State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, she studied many art forms but had an emphasis in painting and drawing. She is constantly evolving her style and technique, whether she is painting a traditional portrait or illustration.
Her work is inspired by childhood memories of stories, fairy tales and folk lore, all being seen through adult eyes. The results can be humorous and slightly dark, but always whimsical and feminine. Paintings or illustrations often depict ethereal beings living in made up locations, that leave some sort of mystery to the viewer.
