Jeff Nicholson
Jeff Nicholson is known for his paintings of the high desert of the west, particularly of Nevada. He celebrates, through his paintings, the boom and bust of man’s tenure on the land, as well as the primal beauty of untouched places. He is fluent in both oils and watercolors. Jeff has a strong Nevada following for his paintings of the Silver State’s landscape. His works are in the permanent collections of the Nevada Museum of Art, the University of Nevada, Reno, the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City, and many other public and private collections throughout the west. He is a past recipient of a Nevada State Arts Council/National Endowment grant and has twice been honored with one-man shows at the Nevada Museum of Art.
