Inara
Some know her as “Inara”, others know her as Kara. She has been bellydancing since 2001, began performing around 2003 and began teaching in 2006. One can find her dancing at local restaurants and parties, teaching classes at Fire in the Belly Studio, or continuing to take classes and workshops. She performs many styles and fusions of bellydance, from traditional to modern. She was also a member of the Gypsy Sugar
dance company, under director Ansuya, before her move to Hawaii.
She didn’t know what she was getting into when she casually started taking lessons so many years ago. She studied for many years under local instructor Sherry Coffey, who first introduced her to performing. Back then, Inara never in her wildest dreams imagined it would lead to performing regularly or teaching….let alone working with one of the most famous bellydancers in the world, Ansuya! Since working with Ansuya, Inara has performed with her in Miami, Texas and Los Angeles! So here she is, enjoying every minute of it and wondering where it will all go next.
