Brooklyn Marvin
Brooklyn Marvin feels lucky to be able to do what she loves. Photography has always been a passion of hers. Throughout her travels, she feels in love with the colorful flavors that one can capture through the lens of a camera. She now uses her skills and love of nature to bring out the best in her subjects. One of her greatest talents is working with natural light. She has a very organic, semi-photojournalistic style of shooting. She prefers to have big lenses so that she doesn’t have to be an “in your face” type of photographer. She loves making people laugh and feel that her relaxed and professional style allows her clients to be calm and satisfied all day, which brings out the best in their images.
She is also very involved in doing work for local businesses. It brings her great joy to be able to help small businesses create better websites and marketing tools. They all want to see this Northern California economy thrive. Throughout the years she has increased her skills in the adobe realm, as well as working on various illustration projects and logos.
Her goal is to travel the world through her work, while keeping her local community stocked with images that last a lifetime. She puts a lot of time and love into her work and her relationships with her clients. She has very high expectations of herself, and is always working to raise the bar, with her images and her way of doing business. This year she went back to school to become a real estate agent. So now she will be using her love of land and open spaces to help people find properties and homes inland and on the north coast. She is also excited to announce that she recently moved her office into the creamery building in Arcata. Brooke and her friend Marnie Nave are co-creating a space with their two businesses. Marnie has a clothing company called SEAPOD, and will be opening a boutique with her line and more. She will be using the upstairs space to meet with all of her real estate and photography clients. They are really excited about this new space.
