In 2009, 13 year old Arcadian Broad from Orlando, FL WOWed the judges of “America’s Got Talent” and become known to the world with his amazing dance technique and extremely likable personality. Receiving all 3 yes’s from the judges, he continued on to the next stage of the show, the Las Vegas round, the quarter finals and the Semi finals.
Eventually making it to the top 10 in the end, it was an experience that changed his life forever! He met so many wonderful people and taught him many valuable life lessons. You need to follow your dreams, no matter what, work really hard and appreciate all that you have. Stay humble and giving. God has blessed me abundantly with this great start! Arcadian began dancing at age 9 in various styles. His multi-talents put him on the fast track towards his goals. He was a finalist for the featured role of “Billy” in the Broadway Musical Billy Elliot. At age 13, made his TV debut as a semi-finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Proceeding AGT, Arcadian was guest on the ELLEN Show. Through the ELLEN show, he met his new managers Rodrick Paul and Robert Thompson of Group III Management. Who he signed with too manage and lead his career in the film industry. By Age 15, Arcadian decided to seriously pursue ballet. He joined the Orlando Ballet Trainee Program under Dierdre Miles Burger and after six months was promoted to OBII. Later that year at 16, Arcadian was hired as a professional Ballet dancer with Orlando Ballet.
The youngest ever to be hired under Artistic Director Robert Hill. Now in 2015, as a leading dancer, Arcadian (19) Arcadian Broadhas performed roles such as; Puck in A Midsummers Night Dream, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Basilio in Don Quixote, Lead dancer in many Contemporary works; Battle of the Sexes 1-4, Bolero, Falling Drops, Again for the First Time, Carmina Burana. He has also featured his musical ability by playing piano Mr. Hills “Vampire’s Ball” as the Virtuosos Nephew. He has now branched out into the world of choreography expressing his own unique style and voice. His work as a choreographer to date includes his breakout hit solo “Time” followed by others: Psychological Recovery, White Noise, MW2, Seasons of Movement. He is currently working on his version of a full length “Beauty and the Beast”. On top of choreographing the production, he has also decided to compose a brand new musical score.
Arcadian is thankful for everyone who has touched his life and shaped him into the man he is today. So hold on for the ride everyone…it’s going to be a great one!
