Angela Marie Rocchio

Angela Marie Rocchio is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She she earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College, California, after which she studied Gregorian chant under Dom Saulnier at the Benedictine monastery in Solesmes, France. Angela has extensive experience in the performance of sacred music and sees her singing as a catalyst for bringing beauty into the lives of others. Her voice is clean, clear, and vibrant from the most delicate pianissimo, to filling the space with warm, rich, resonance. Angela has served as a cantor in large and small parishes, including some of the most impressive Cathedrals and churches to be found, and on live international television. As an educator, Angela developed a variety of successful music programs. Her years of experience in teaching and directing have honed in her a solid commitment to preparedness, thoughtful interpersonal skills, and a cooperative demeanor which make her a pleasure to work with. Currently, Angela is a cantor and soprano section leader for the choirs of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis.
She is one of the original members of Pro-Arte Saint Louis, a professional vocal ensemble specializing in the historically-informed performance of Early Music, for which her extensive knowledge of Chant is valued. Angela Marie Rocchio resides in St. Louis, MO with her husband Michael Rocchio, bass-baritone, who is a highly-respected teacher of singing.
