Marsha Schindler
Marsha graduated with a degree in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona State University, and began working as a Marine Aquarist at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. She also worked as a naturalist aboard 45 ft. fishing vessels diving and giving ecology tours to inner city students from Los Angeles.
She became enamored with the world of interpretive design and returned to school attaining a Masters in Art from California State Long Beach, specializing in scientific illustration. She worked on nature/history exhibit centers in Northern California while independently muraling. The First Lady of California asked her to create a mural in the Govenors’ office at the State Capitol.
The opportunity to work 3-D with clay started a new journey. A wonderful studio was created and the exploration of personal work in ceramics began. She exhibits her artwork at her studio as well as local galleries. She currently teaches classes at the Crocker Art Museum, and teaches classes at the 814studio classroom.
