Emily Brown

Emily Brown is a Californian singer-songwriter and poet. Drawing from folk, pop, and classical music, her songwriting reflects personal experiences, often with mental illness, close friendship, and imbalanced romantic dynamics. Brown’s latest album, Emily Frown (2016), is a short EP discussing personal experiences with mental illness. She will release her fourth album, Bee Eater, this July. She performed the LDS children’s song “I’m Trying to Be Like Jesus,” for a video released by the Mormon Channel in 2015. It has over 1.8 million views.
