Kristi Goldade
Kristi Goldade, a singer/songwriter from N.D., already loved Country Music as a three year old, singing along with her older sisters. When she was eight she heard a young gal do some yodeling at the Medora Musical in the badlands of Medora. She was simply amazed at the sound and soon set out to learn this technique. She practiced every day while feeding calves on the family dairy farm. Later that fall she got up on stage for the first time at Beaver Creek Pumpkin Festival and sang and yodeled in public.
News of her talent spread and soon she was asked to perform at various events. She has performed at the Midwest Country Theater in Sandstone Minnesota on several shows that are aired on RFDTV. In the Summer of 2008 Kristi recorded a CD produced by Sherwin Linton entitled (Dakota Prairie Yodelin’). In August of 2008 Kristi was encouraged by friends to enter the Colgate Showdown in Mobridge S.D. sponsered by KOLY Radio. Winning that event she moved on to the State finals in Flandreau S.D. to take the state title.
