Kiana Chapman
Kiana Chapman is a vibrant 22 year old with an intense passion for music and melody from a small town in Idaho. She began playing guitar at eight and wrote her first song at ten. Throughout high school, she preformed at local restaurants, open mic nights, and talent shows. For her senior project she recorded an EP of all original songs. After graduation, she attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA on a soccer scholarship. Music was somewhat put on hold while she was involved in sports and studying biology.
After the fall semester, she transferred back to Idaho and attended The College of Southern Idaho (CSI). Fall 2015 is when she competed in Battle of the Bands and won first place for solo artist. Upon winning the grand prize of recording a song under the label hosting the event, she was also offered a recording contract. Many factors went into her decision to decline the contract and finish her biology degree while pursing music on the independent route. During her last semester at CSI she took her first music class and incorporated an independent study through it. She worked closely with her professor to put on her first concert at the college in May before graduation. After receiving her diploma, she moved back to her hometown in Sun Valley, ID where she continued to pursue music while starting her modeling career. Working with local companies in the beginning quickly branched out to companies all over the world. Traveling for photoshoots became a regular occurrence. Today, Kiana works on new music and is interested in learning the production side of the trait. She hopes to attend Berklee College of Music fall 2018.
