Katarina Kohari

Katarina Kohari is a Moore County native. She received her Associate in Fine Arts for Music Education from Sandhills Community College. While at SCC, Katarina studied voice privately with Frances Wilson, performed in choir, and was a soloist with the Jazz Band. Katarina received her Bachelors in Science for Elementary Education with a Music concentration from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While at UNCG, Katarina performed with Women’s Glee Club, Women’s Choir, University Chorale, and Opera Theatre.
She studied voice privately with Clara O’Brien, and was a soloist and alto section leader at West Market Street United Methodist Church. While in Greensboro, Katarina performed as an alto with Westminster Chamber Singers. Katarina was a soprano section leader and soloist at The Village Chapel in Pinehurst, and soloist with Moore County Choral Society. Currently, Katarina teaches 1st grade at Scurlock Elementary School in Hoke County. She is also a soloist and soprano section leader at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
