JOSIE GRAFF
Josie Graff Jewelry Design is based on its founder’s desire for her customers to know their own value and true beauty through jewelry and feels that her jewelry epitomizes their elegant and quirky style. Josie got her start in jewelry as a teen after an afternoon workshop at 4H summer camp, and she fell in love with way metal moves. She is a 2010 graduate of Edinboro University’s art department with a BFA in Jewelry/Metals. Josie is inspired by the Art Nouveau Movement, the natural beauty of Pennsylvania’s Great Lakes region and her friends around the world. She works primarily in hypo-allergenic sterling silver for its intrinsic beauty and uses textures, gemstones, and fine silver granulation to accent her designs. Josie Graff Jewelry Design can be found online and on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Josie discovered that she could make this her college major and graduated from Edinboro University with her BFA in Jewelry/Metals in 2010. Life has taken her on some different paths, but she never stopped designing and crafting quality jewelry. Most recently, after her mom lost her 3 1/2 year battle with kidney cancer, her long-time dream of supporting herself through jewelry design re-emerged. She currently runs her own shop in her hometown at a local market village. Her desire is for her customers to know their own value and true beauty through jewelry, and she feels that Josie Graff jewelry Design epitomizes their elegant and quirky style.
Her inspiration for this new JG Signature Collection comes from designs that shaped me years ago as a Metals/Jewelry student. Paisleys, undulating curves, and nature are all featured in both her earlier work and in this collection. The difference lies in the life experience behind the designs. The JG Signature Collection was created to balance between simple, everyday style and the need to express that elegantly quirky spirit.
