Greg Gilmore
Greg Gilmore, born November 4, 1990 (Scorpio) is a nationally touring multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, composer, director, and visual artist raised in California and residing in Reno, NV since 2010.
Gilmore began his musical endeavors at age 16 with The Kanes as a the primary songwriter and lead vocalist. The group released two albums: 2009’s Welcome to the Renaissance and 2013’s Black Magic. The latter of the two was honored with the Reno-Gazette Journal’s 2013 album of the year. “Nightmare”, the first track off Black Magic has also been made available on over 60,000 TouchTunes jukeboxes across the United States. As a member of The Kanes, Gilmore self-booked pregional tours performing at venues such as the Triple Door in Seattle, Hotel Utah in San Francisco, The Whisky A-Go-Go and Rainbow in Hollywood and performed alongside New Politics, The Ataris, Unwritten Law, Authority Zero, Rebelution, and Murs.
During fall of 2014, in true DIY fashion after forming Reno Rock’n’Roll group KARMA, Gilmore (lead vocals, guitar, bass) began booking what would eventually turn into a 10 month national tour. Throughout the 20,000 mile trek, the group played over 100 shows in over 25 states at storied venues such as The Bitter End (NY), Cafe Wha? (NY), The Double Door (Chicago), Springwater Supper Club (Nashville), and The Legendary Dobbs (Philadelphia).
Now, with the release of his debut single “Love Dream #3”, Greg Gilmore is taking his electrifying live performances and distinct style in a new direction.
The track features Mike Orris on drums, Adam Springob on bass and harmonies, Diana Ekins on saxophone, Zac Curtis on trumpet, and Greg Gilmore on lead vocals, guitar, and harmonies.
