Debra Draper
It all began in the third grade during one particular art lesson. Watercolor was the medium, and how to paint a landscape with fall trees was what the class would learn how to paint. Debra was a very shy child back then so of course she breathed a sigh of relief. The odds of not having to speak were definitely in her favor. The lesson began, and she remembers it being the most relaxing and natural thing she’d ever done. She was free. After that memorable day she was hooked for years. Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, arts and crafts, picture framing you name it. She did it, and loved it and then life happened. Time seemed to fly by with only the occasional painting or drawing. In recent years she came to the realization that she had a God given talent that she had wasted, and she was determined to start again. She added graphic design to her artistic skills and is making a fresh start. She truly believes that everyone has a gift that should never be taken for granted. We all need to use what has been given to us to find true happiness.
